Ecommerce

Some websites are designed to providing information, entertain or other obscure reason. Tthe vast majority of websites however, are created for the purpose of selling products, providing a service and earning income.
Ecommerce is the all inclusive term for doing business online. More specifically it is used in relations to the actual technology that enables you to sell your wares directly from your website.

Ecommerce involves two basic elements:

1. A way for you to display your offers. If you sell only one product it’s usually a one page sales letter or a “Minisite”.  If you offer a few products you would likely have a catalog and a virtual “Shopping Cart” (See example here).
2. The other necessary element is the means to collect payments (See “Payment Collection”) .
